These spinners will allow your blades to fold very flat against the side of the fuselage; this is achieved by having a cranked centrepiece and work perfectly in conjunction with the new Z-blades.
This is quite a departure for Aero-naut and involves a change of direction for their spinner supply – here are the main points:
• The pivot bolts are recessed in to the centrepiece, so no longer will you have ugly bolt heads sticking out.
• A spring washer is supplied to go under the head of the recessed hinge bolt, making it secure.
• The spinner is supplied with the cranked centrepiece, but without the collet.
• Previously spinners came with the collet but without the centrepeice, so this is quite a change.
• You order the spinner of the required size to suit the nose of the aircraft.
• Then you have to order a collet to match your motor shaft diameter to fit in to the spinner.
• These are special short collets like those previously supplied with 30mm Cool Nose Spinners.
• The spinner set comes with a rubber band to help ensure that the blades fold.
• There is quite a bit of engineering in these spinners, so the price is higher.
